Bonner County Idaho, near Selkirk and Wild Horse Trl, 48.3737N, 116.4490W approx.
HABITAT WHERE THE BIRD WAS OBSERVED
Mixed conifer, birch, cottonwood, and alder scattered in a wetland area.
SIGHTING DURATION, CONDITIONS, and EQUIPMENT USED
10 minutes.

Photos were taken at several different angles
with a Nikon D500 and 500mm f4 lens, handheld. Binoculars used were Swarovski 10x42 EL.

BEHAVIOR OF THE BIRD(s)
Bird was perched in a cottonwood tree preening and calling. Overcast with bright back light. Observed and photographed about 40 meters away from bird. Tail was fanned most of the time and all of the time when calling. Calls were not recorded by largely match those in Sibley Bird App "songs_BC".
