Well described - excellent photos - comparison made between the Pacific and Winter

The calls (audible in the audio recording and in the videos) are diagnostic, and the photos/plumage are useful as supporting documentation. Fantastic find and the second Winter Wren I have chased and missed in Idaho!

A decent description of both the bird and its call. While photos alone can be tough in separating this species from Pacific Wren (Troglodytes pacificus), the excellent videos attached to the observer’s eBird list diagnostically documents both the alarm call, but also good views of the subtle plumage differences. Also, the observer notes the benefit of having a couple of Pacifics in the area for a near direct comparison – added bonus. Good bird.

Photos and sound recording are good and eliminate the similar Pacific Wren.

This one looked very good and its vocalizations sounded correct for a Winter Wren to me.
